Overwatch 2 Halloween Event – Skins, Twitch Drops, And More In Halloween Terror 2022
A few weeks after the launch of Overwatch 2, the game’s first special event, Halloween Terror 2022, has begun. This event, which runs from October 25 to November 8, features the return of the Junkenstein’s Revenge PvE arcade mode along with some new spooky skins. During the event players can also earn some free rewards in addition to the new items in the shop. From October 25 to November 1 players can also earn a legendary Winston skin by watching Overwatch 2 creators with drops enabled on Twitch.
Junkenstein’s Revenge
Junkenstein’s Revenge is a PvE horde mode-style event, where four players need to defend a castle door against waves of robots and Junkenstein’s allies, which consist of AI-controlled versions of Reaper, Junkrat, Roadhog, and more. Blizzard has added new versions and difficulties to the mode over the different Halloween events, so there are a variety of different modes and special challenge modes. The challenge modes provide another tier of difficulty, with options including things like only three heroes or randomized heroes. This year’s version has the Wrath of the Bride version, which adds Sombra as an AI enemy.
In addition to the achievements that can be unlocked by completing different versions of the mode, there are event challenges that are only available during the Halloween Terror event. These challenges offer up a variety of different rewards, including sprays, voice lines, weapon charms, name cards, and battle pass XP.
As Overwatch 2’s Halloween Terror event kicks off, fans can’t stop complaining about poor value

Back in the day, the Overwatch Halloween Terror events were something the community came together to celebrate. The event first kicked off way back in 2016, the same year the first game launched. The seasonal event would then kick off every year after, featuring exclusive cosmetics, seasonal loot boxes, and an exclusive brawl in the form of Junkenstein’s Revenge.
Now that we’re in a new era with Overwatch 2, and the original is no longer playable at all, we’re having to make do with the new interpretation of the event. And players aren’t happy.
Heading on over to the Overwatch subreddit, you can see the community complaining about the value of this event compared to what we saw back in the heady loot box-filled days of the Overwatch.

“Terror Zones” sounds like a Stephen King TV show from the early ’00s, but it’s not. They’re a new feature added to Diablo 2: Resurrected in the just-released patch 2.5, which is designed to make the game a little harder and more interesting for those players hack-and-slashing their way to level 99 over and over again.

Diablo 2 Resurrected PTR patch 2.5 introduces a new experimental feature called Terror Zones to spice up the Diablo 2 leveling process. The journey to level 99 is a core part of the experience for players of the classic RPG game, and Blizzard says that it hopes Terror Zones will provide an alternative to the currently popular methods of farming. In addition, the latest patch also implements additional gameplay changes, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements to help polish one of the best fantasy games of all time.
Terror Zones are an experimental feature added with PTR patch 2.5 that players can choose to enable when starting a game. When turned on, specific zones will be terrorised by the armies of the Burning Hells every hour, creating a deadly zone populated with monsters at least two levels higher than your current (or their original level). The experience received from and loot dropped by killing a terrorised monster will be based on its new level.
Blizzard says that it wants to offer Terror Zones as “an alternative to repeatedly farming Baal, Diablo, or Nihlathak.” In addition, the patch notes from Blizzard say that it wants “the journey to level 99 to be accessible to a larger population of players, full of variety, and, most importantly, challenging. Players will be informed of currently terrorised areas when joining a game with Terror Zones enabled courtesy of a message in the chat box.
