Tools, training and company culture drive productivity, says UK worker survey
Business leaders who are looking to grow their budgets for employee training and resources now have some hard numbers they can use to make their pitch to upper management. According to new research from work management software company ClickUp, companies which provide their employees with the right technology, resources, and training are considerably more likely to experience high levels of productivity.
The survey was conducted by Sapio Research in October 2022 among 2,282 individuals across the UK in a variety of occupations, and ranked UK businesses across a number of productivity indicators.
In order to establish if a company was demonstrated levels of high or low productivity, Sapio created an organisational productivity model based on survey responses to a number of productivity-related areas.

I’m a restaurant worker, if you knew the gross things that happen behind closed doors you would never want to eat out
A RESTAURANT worker has revealed some of the grossest tactics used in kitchens – and they may put you off your food.
TikTok user @Tequila.9 reeled off a list of ways servers and pot washers will keep things looking clean at surface level.
TikToker Tequila.9 made a series of shocking claims about working at a restaurant[/caption]
They include everything from scraping dishes with nails to changing the dates on food to make it appear as though they are in date.
And to make matters, worse, diners would never know about the techniques themselves.
Making the claims in a TikTok video, Tequila.9 said: “I promise the fork you’re eating with came out of the washer with spinach on it that just got rinsed off.
“I promise you that the table you’re eating off only got wiped down with a stank kitchen rag that was wet from dirty dishwater.
“I promise that whoever set your table was scraping crust off your plate with their nails immediately before you used it.”
She added: “And I’m willing to bet that if the health department showed up to the restaurant you’re eating at right now, everybody in the kitchen would be going crazy in the walk in fridge changing all the dates on the food.”
Viewers were quick to comment, with many other workers backing up the claims.
One person said: “I promise you that she’s telling the truth LMFAOOO.”
Another wrote: “It’s the same everywhere. It’s why I won’t work at my favorite places. I choose to be blissfully UNAWARE.”
Someone else added: “All these are 100% facts I’ve worked at numerous restaurants.”
Others, however, disagreed, with one person insisting: “This isn’t all restaurants.
“I’m a server at one place and bartender at another. Neither place is like that.”
Someone else said: “I can’t relate to this at all. The place I work at is the immaculate.”
A third wrote: “I’m so glad to work at a restaurant that don’t do this.
“This is the cleanest restaurant I’ve ever worked for and I love it.”
New York’s New Warehouse Worker Law Sets It Sights on Amazon’s Dystopian ‘Time Off Task’ Productivity Metric
Amazon warehouse workers in New York may finally have some legal reprieve from the company’s alleged soul crushing AI-assisted productive quotas. Those quotas were partly responsible for harrowing accounts of Amazon workers last year admitting they felt pressured to pee in bottles to avoid performance penalties.
