Kevin Randle provides more fascinating details about the famous 1951 Lubbock Lights than we ever knew—including the incredible identification that Capt. Edward Ruppelt apparently finally accepted. Kevin also recounts a MADAR reports much nearer in time (last year), bringing to mind Kevin’s earlier post AARO, MADAR and an Australia Video. Interesting, but we’d heard the start date for the DoD investigation was moved back to 1945 by Jacques Vallee’s Congressional connections. Chasing Footnotes – The Kevin Randle Edition (Sort of) is another illustration of UFO research by several masters of that discipline. Kevin’s A Photographic Conundrum concerns a far more recent photograph—well, actually several, one of which “didn’t turn out.” Kevin explains the problem, and any thoughts could be helpful. And while the Washington Nationals are an American League baseball team, in this context Nigel Watson is talking about UFO Waves over Washington in the summer of 1952, and Kevin Randle’s updated book about them. Of course, Watson’s unable to cover the whole, extremely important story, and his only quibble isn’t meant to deter one from “a handy guide to the 1952 sightings.” (WM)
