In an opinion piece, Luis Elizondo repeats and explains his intention to “blow up” ufology so “whatever replaces it is something more holistic and harmonized…academically serious and intellectually representative of the topic.” Elizondo covers the weaknesses of the field with broad brushstrokes and no apologies for some of his own “howlers.” Jason Colavito has noticed that Lue Elizondo Pens Angry Op-Ed Blasting Ufology and Blaming Cultish Ufologists for Waning Government UFO Interest. Lately Jason seems to have toned down his rhetoric, which makes his core points easier to evaluate dispassionately. Documentary filmmaker Steven Greenstreet apologizes for his too-credulous past regarding the rollout or unravelling of the UFO story since December of 2017: The UFO Lie: Shocking Truth of Pentagon AAWSAP Program. The film contrasts what was known before and after publication of the Lacatski/Kelleher/Knapp bombshell book Skinwalkers at the Pentagon: An Insiders’ Account of the Secret Government UFO Program. Events since Greenstreet’s May 12th expose have rather vindicated Lue on some issues—for instance see Shannon Scott’s observations about Lue Elizondo in the News! But it’s not even worth guessing when the full story will be known and accepted. (WM)
