Rina Sawayama has made a big debut with her most recent album ‘Hold The Girl’ and has made history in the process.

Taking to press, the Official Charts Company (OCC) announced that ‘Hold The Girl’ has debuted at #3 on the albums chart with over 7,148 sales coming from vinyl alone.
As a result, she has now become the highest-charting Japanese artist in the history of the UK Charts.
She bests her previous ranking of #80, which she scored with her debut album, ‘Sawayama.’
‘Hold The Girl’ was acclaimed by critics upon its release, who complimented the songwriting as well as the overall theme of the project.
It was preceded by the singles: ‘This Hell,’ ‘Catch Me In The Air,’ ‘Phantom,’ ‘Hold The Girl,’ and ‘Hurricanes.’
