And Beyonce has also made seismic strides on the Official UK Singles Chart tally too.
Full story below…
The superstar songstress earns her fourth UK #1 album with the dance-driven set – her first solo LP in six years.
In a major feat, ‘Renaissance’ outsold its nearest chart rival 3:1.
The 16-track LP joins ‘Dangerously in Love’ (2003), ‘4’ (2011), and ‘Lemonade’ (2016) on the diva’s list of UK #1 albums. As a member of Destiny’s Child, she also scored a chart-topper with 2001’s ‘Survivor.’
Available in various formats, ‘Renaissance’ also serves as the highest-selling vinyl release of the week.
Beyonce also made an almighty splash on the Official UK Singles Chart too.
Fuelled by the buzz around the album, lead single ‘Break My Soul’ soared four spots to a new peak of #2.
In doing so, ‘Soul’ – which is also the week’s most downloaded song – becomes Bey’s highest-charting solo release in the 14 years since ‘If I Was A Boy’ hit #1.
That’s not all!
‘Renaissance’ favorites ‘Cuff It’ and ‘Alien Superstar’ have rocketed into the top 20 – debuting at #14 and #16 respectively. In the process bringing Beyonce’s UK top 40 entries to a whopping 38.
