Beyonce is back and blazing with her seventh studio album ‘Renaissance.’
Drenched in the delicious sounds of Dance, the diva’s latest effort serves as yet another exciting reinvention from an artist who has been consistent in pushing the envelope and daring to go where others won’t.
Like the world at large, we’ve had the album on repeat since it was unleashed last Friday (July 29) and are all sorts of excited about what the campaign at large has in store.
With that, we’ve tallied That Grape Juice Top 5 Wants from the ‘Renaissance’ Era.
Join us after the jump…
Give ‘Cuff It’ The Single Treatment
The album in its entirety may well be our favorite from Queen Bey to date and this bouncy bop has easily become one of our top songs from the superstar.
Funky, fiery, and fresh, ‘Cuff It’ towers over the competition by way of how instant and infectious it is.
Much like the artist belting it, the track has a commanding presence – one we see dominating the radio and the streaming scene.
As a follow-up to ‘Break My Soul,’ it keeps the BPM party going with its own distinct flavor. A smash in waiting!

‘Alien Superstar’ Deserves A Moment
In many ways, ‘Renaissance’ is a buffet of bops. Which, in one regard, is bliss. Yet, in another, makes it arguably hard to cherry-pick “a” single.
‘Alien Superstar’ – with its quirky, hard-hitting production – has quickly emerged as a firm favorite and a viral smash.
While yours truly isn’t sure of its palatability to radio, there’s no denying its popularity on the streaming front.
Perhaps with its video, this could prove a strong streaming vehicle for the album at large and morph into the intergalactic smash hit it deserves to be on its own accord.

Visual Album…with a Twist
Beyonce has long been hailed as the leader of the visual age, especially after changing the game with that digital drop in 2013 and follow-up ‘Lemonade.’ Even before those with ‘B’Day’ and ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ (as the real OGs know).
As such, while ‘Renaissance’ purposefully arrived sans any visual component, it’s safe to expect that it’s coming. Reps for the singer confirmed as much upon the album’s release.
Hence, we’d love to see Bey – who is ever the game-changer – switch it up once again. A musical series, perhaps? Or maybe something interactive? There’s that three-project Netflix deal that’s been well-documented too. And given that the streamer has proven equally bold with its programming and evolving formats, we’re sure the combination of both forces will yield mind-blowing results.

Acts II & Act III
Much ado has been made about the mysterious naming convention for ‘Renaissance’ – which has been christened with the prefix “act 1.”
In the time since Beyonce herself has confirmed that the project has a “three-act” arc, which she created over a three-year period.
Still, there’s ample debate amongst The BeyHive about whether “acts” means albums.
From our vantage point, we’d love for it to. Both selfishly and logistically.
On the one hand, we’ll always be receiving of fresh material from Bey – who unquestionably stands as one of the most dependable vendors for quality music.
Competitively, there’s also a business case for the Queen pouring out more music too.
For, in the current climate – as we’ve seen from the likes of Drake and Chris Brown (stay with me) – there are definitive streaming benefits to releasing sizeable sums of music semi-frequently.
Quality control is of course important, but it’s already clear that Bey is a visionary and will always deliver on a level beyond her peers.

Live
A huge part of “experiencing” the magic of Beyonce is seeing her in a live setting.
And listening to ‘Renaissance’ has us salivating about the endless potential that a tour would bring with it.
So, while we patiently await dates, we’re also open to other live activations she may have up her sleeve.
Through the chaos of the global health crisis, one of the silver linings of the last two years has been the creative ways artists found to express themselves live. From virtual showings to more immersive spectacles.
‘Renaissance’ lends itself to all, as such we’d love to see it all!
