The GC competed against Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke and The Chase’s Paul Sinha, while host Stephen Mulhern gave hints to the various catchphrases in the repeated episode.
Looking stunning in a floral wrap dress, it became clear within minutes Gemma had no clue how to the play the game.
Even host Stephen admitted Gemma had struggled grasping the rules before taking to the stage.
He told the live studio audience that she had approached him backstage to grill him on Catchphrase’s premise.
Early in the game Anton correctly guessed ‘fall on your face’ after looking at one graphic.
Gemma jumped in asking for clarification: “Sorry, can I just ask something? Right, is ‘fall on your face’ a phrase?”

The others confirmed that was the case and she continued: “So it’s as simple as that person walking along… and you say what you see? Sorry, I thought you had to come up with something that rhymed with it!”

The others told her it was and she continued: “So it’s as simple as that person walking along… and you say what you see? Sorry, I thought you had to come up with something that rhymed with it!”
Stephen replied: “That’s how simple catchphrase can be. Just literally say what you see.”

And then joked: “It’s like you on Dancing On Ice” referring to Gemma’s dramatic fall during 2019’s competition
But things took a turn in Gemma’s favour when she slowly got a handle on the rules and managed to guess a series of answers correctly.
She tried to jump in on one of Anton’s answers, but Stephen chided her, explaining she needed to press the buzzer first to be able to answer.
“Gemma thinks she knows now, don’t say what it is Gemma,” he warned.
The GC protested: “But I’m not going to get that far because I don’t know what the question… I don’t know how to play. I’m not getting nothing right.”
The live studio audience cheered wildly for Gemma as she got better with her answers and figuring out the rules.
Since appearing on Celebrity Catchphrase, Gemma’s life has completely changed.
She has lost three stone after undergoing a health overhaul and got engaged again to fiancé Rami Hawash.
The couple are on a loved-up country escape with his son Tristan.
The former Towie star, 41, has shared snippets of her weekend with her followers on Instagram.
The trio have been staying in the luxury five-star hotel Fairmont Windsor Park in Egham, which has rooms costing up to £1,905.00 per night.
