In Disney’s recent rent earnings call, CEO Bob Iger said that some Hulu content would be incorporated into Disney+. This combined “one-app” experience will launch before the end of 2023.
This integration does not mean the end of individual apps. Iger said that, “While we will continue to offer Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ as standalone options, this is a logical progression of our [direct-to-consumer] offerings that will provide greater opportunities for advertisers while giving bundle subscribers access to more robust and streamlined content, resulting in greater audience engagement and ultimately leading to a more unified streaming experience.”
What Hulu content will make its way to Disney+ has yet to be clarified. There is no exact release date for this feature either.
