The Gulf Breeze Six are back again, in Tanner F. Boyle’s detailed and fascinating retelling of this uber-strange ufological sideshow. Thankfully, Boyle includes links to his previous absorbing installments. There’s too much here to summarize; suffice it to say that their Ouija board seems to be controlling the group’s contacts, formation, and plans. In Pt. 6 “warnings” set the group in motion to go AWOL and leave Germany for the States, while Government knowledge of their planning was feared and very likely actual. And in Pt. 7 the vise rather fortuitously begins to close upon The Gulf Breeze Six. And THEN—at this climatic moment in the saga—Tanner F. Boyle takes time off from this engrossing narrative to deal with another controversy! This one has a sordid side, by honoring as it’s Reader Requests #1: Wendelle C. Stevens. An important if controversial and partly disgusting cranny in ufology’s history, which should not be forgotten. (WM)
