Glasgow Boy takes us on a leisurely stroll around the Loch, where he’s been reviewing footage from the trap cameras and chatting with Adrian Shine at the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre. Nothing much to report overall, but even without Nessie, the Loch is always worth a visit. Meanwhile, such is the critter’s allure, that Loch-side resident Steve Feltham, admits I quit my job, girlfriend and home to spend 30 years looking for the Loch Ness Monster. Living happily for many years in a campervan, Steve has no regrets about his bachelor life in which he enjoys occasionally rubbing shoulders with inquisitive celebrities who visit him, and in 2019 he was the subject of a Ridley Scott film. No doubt, though, he’d rather have a visit from Nessie, for which he continues to wait. As to other cinema offerings, Paul Lê writes of ‘Incident at Loch Ness’ – Werner Herzog Finds Nessie in Cryptid Mockumentary. This 2004 film, which Lê describes as “a clever satire,” gets the thumbs up, even though for a time “it had people fooled” into thinking Herzog had really found Nessie. (LP)
