What’s as tall as a telephone pole, has extremely long arms, and has two large “speakers” for a head that spew forth white noise and random numbers, as well as snippets of human speech and more? And it moves. It’s Siren Head. Meet the creator of this modern monster, Trevor Henderson, whose story is told by Emily Zarka in an episode of PBS’ Monstrum. Some people draw comparisons to Slenderman. So is it just a matter of time before Siren Head infects cryptozoology and the paranormal? And speaking of another breed of Mysterious Animals That Pretty Much No One Has Ever Seen, Paul Seaburn regales us with some rarities even in a field known for its rarities. One is a big cat that apparently inhabits Central Africa. Another, from Vietnam, is known as the “Asian Unicorn,â€ and many more, including the Madagascar serpent eagle. “These are all surely reclusive creatures that have managed to exist on the periphery of the world we think we have mapped and fully understood,” says Seaburn.
