Online charity, donations, and fundraising in cryptocurrencies are not a big deal, but sometimes it is not as effortless as it seems. Sometimes it is not so easy to transfer money in bitcoins for some reason, and sometimes you want to remain completely anonymous. As you know, in the blockchain, the withdrawal and receipt of funds are recorded and tracked, and if it is found that some address is associated with a specific owner, the anonymous transfer of funds ceases to be such. Perhaps, you do not want to reveal your wallet when transferring large amounts of money because you are concerned that law enforcement agencies may be interested in the origin of these coins. Or for some other reasons not related to the law, you do not want to disclose your wallet address (and that it belongs to you). Anyway, you can increase the level of security and make donations with no fear of losing your anonymity.
For this, there are so-called mixers. Bitcoin mixers are services or applications that allow you to mix your coins with coins of other owners, and in the end, you get the same amount, only the source of their receipt is already hidden and not associated with you, so you do not worry, that someone will track your wallet.
Mixers operate according to the following principle:
- you send the required amount for mixing to the address of the mixer,
- specify the time and level of mixing (the more, the better the mixing will be),pay a commission to the service, and you get the same amount of bitcoins that are no longer associated with your wallet.
- And then you send the funds to the end-user.
To choose a bitcoin mixer, do not use the first link you find in the search engine. Analyze several of them, read articles on thematic websites, and, having already known ratings and read reviews, send a small number of coins to test the service’s operation. When you are sure that everything is okay, you can mix large amounts to get mixed coins and then send them to charity.
