Amiibo In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Dispense Helpful Items And Paraglider Cosmetics
After the announcement of a The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom Amiibo at the last Nintendo Direct, the company’s official Twitter account has clarified how Amiibo will work in the upcoming game.
In short, Zelda-themed Amiibo will give the player materials and weapons, much like they did in Breath of the Wild. They can also provide various paraglider fabrics and which one you receive seems to be based on which Amiibo you use. Pictured fabrics include one based on Link’s outfit in Tears of the Kingdom, one with a light blue pastel color and the symbol of Skyloft’s Knights from Skyward Sword, and a glider fabric with a print of Majora’s Mask from the game of the same name.

Exactly what each Amiibo will dispense and when is unclear. Amiibo from outside of the series may also grant useful items, like they did in the last game, but they will not provide Legend of Zelda-themed cosmetics or weapons. The Tears of the Kingdom Amiibo will release on the same date as the game, May 12.

New Zelda: Tears Of the Kingdom Trailer Showcases More Of The Game And New Amiibo
The latest Nintendo Direct gave us a new look at its biggest game coming in the first half of this year, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The new trailer mostly showcases more gameplay but also teases more of the game’s story, which seems to be quite tragic, much like its predecessor (or most Zelda games, if we’re being honest).
It’s not all doom and gloom, however! Following the trailer reveal, Nintendo also announced that Tears of the Kingdom is getting an accompanying Amiibo. The Amiibo is of Link, adorned in the outfit he’s seen wearing in most Tears of the Kingdom trailers. It will be released on May 12, and be sold separately from the game.
The focus of this Nintendo Direct was said to be “mostly” on games coming in the first half of 2023, and Tears of the Kingdom is the biggest one of the bunch. It’s slated for May 12, 2023, having been delayed out of 2022. The cryptic trailers have raised a lot of speculation over radical changes to the Zelda formula that could be coming in this installment, but so far none of those have been confirmed. Sephiroth and Kazuya Amiibo Are Now Available
Good news, Nintendo fans. One of gaming’s most iconic and popular characters is now available in one of gaming’s most popular and iconic collectibles. The Sephiroth amiibo is available to purchase right now from Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Target. And for fans of Kazuya, you can pick him up too.

The Kazuya amiibo is also available right now, and is also super cool.
Both the Sephiroth amiibo and the Kazuya amiibo are part of the newest wave of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate line of amiibo figures. There’s also amiibo for Pyra and Mythra coming sometime this year, although Nintendo hasn’t yet announced the release dates for that pair.
As far as amiibo go… these might be some of the best, ever? The Sephiroth amiibo alone is just extraordinary, but the Kazuya one also carries over that same attention to detail. But come on, we all know which of the two you’re planning on getting!
Sephiroth’s popularity in gaming is undeniable. Go to any gaming-related forum or discord server and you’ll find at least one username based on “Sephiroth” or his identity as the one-winged angel. Even his theme music is one of the most iconic in gaming.
Preorders of these sold out quickly, but they’re back in stock now for their release date. Who knows how long stock will last? Not I.

There is no doubt in my mind these will sell out quickly, so my advice is to just grab one while you can.
