MILITANT bosses from different unions are plotting synchronised strikes to bring Britain to its knees – and have told Sir Keir Starmer to “get a spine”.
They are pushing for workers across industries to coordinate their walkouts at the same time for maximum disruption.
At least four unions back the controversial plan and are proposing a motion at the Trade Union Congress next month.
They include Unite, Unison, the RMT and the Communication Workers’ Union, raising the prospect of widespread carnage.
Unite leader Sharon Graham mooted the nightmare possibility of her bus workers striking simultaneously with RMT rail workers.
She told the Observer: “If we were going on strike on the buses, why wouldn’t we coordinate the two things? You want to make sure we give as much support as possible.”

Coordinating walkouts stops short of an illegal general strike where workers down tools in support of another sector.
More strikes risk another row for Sir Keir who ordered his frontbenchers from going on picket lines before gently rowing back.
Ms Graham, whose union helps bankroll Labour, said the party needed to grow a backbone and stick up for workers, She said: “I think that if they came out now strongly and said ‘hang on a second, these abhorrent profits that are going on and what’s happening with the cost of living, this is what we think should happen’ – then I think they would very much get elected.
“From my point of view, I think we are doing Labour a favour actually by saying ‘look, get a spine, stick up for workers’.
Labour’s chief secretary to the Treasury Pat McFadden said: “Nobody wants to see industrial action but it is understandable why people at work want a decent pay rise given the inflationary pressures that they’re feeling right now.”
GOOD Morning Britain fans will be celebrating after a legend will return as host of the show alongside Susanna Reid next month.
MoneySavingExpert.com‘s Martin Lewis has landed a regular spot on the ITV breakfast show.
Martin’s new role comes as the nation faces a cost of living crisis while the energy cap keeps rising.
The financial whizz is set to host Martin’s Money Mondays this September, alongside Susanna.
It’s a huge coup for the TV channel as Martin will no doubt continue to grill politicians with his no nonsense approach to the cost of living crisis.
Earlier this month he called for action after experts warned energy bills could reach £4,200 this winter.

Good Morning Britain fans will have noticed 51-year-old Susanna was missing from the studio from August 8.
Her co-host Richard Madeley was on the morning show as usual, but Charlotte Hawkins stepped in to replace Susanna.
The long-serving show anchor has taken the summer off having covered some huge news stories since the beginning of 2022.
Susanna always takes the school holidays off as her three children are still at school.
Susanna will back on GMB after the school summer holidays.
Although ITV hasn’t confirmed an exact date, it is likely to be Monday September 5, 2022.
Meanwhile her co-host on Mondays, Martin hit the headlines after a addressing the rising cost of TV bills.

Martin’s MoneySavingExpert.com has urged Sky customers to check their bills, after Ofcom said the phone firm did not send the correct alerts to customers.
Sky was slammed by the regulator for not warning customers that they’ve reached the end of their contract.
Customers should be alerted up to 40 days before their deal ends.
When contracts expire, customers are typically moved on to a standard deal – these are usually more expensive.
A FATHER and son duo are running one of the CHEAPEST petrol stations in Britain – all because they’re “sick” of high prices.
Son Sam and his dad Marcus Ansloos set a goal to have the lowest cost of fuel in North Wales – and their independent Plas Acton Garage in Wrexham might well be.
Cars from the local community can often be seen queueing up round the corner for the great value rates – supplies sometimes run out before the end of each day.
The local heroes Sam and Marcus only took over the business in April this year as fuel costs were skyrocketing.
Generously, they decided to keep their prices “as low as physically possible” to help out hard-up residents with the rising cost of living.
The average price of petrol was 186.67p this week, and for diesel, it’s 195.91p, according to latest Government figures.

Today Plas Acton was charging 167.9p for petrol – almost 20p cheaper than the national average.
Sam told North Wales Live: “We set a goal to become the cheapest petrol station in North Wales to help our community in Wrexham and the surrounding areas.
“I’m really proud to have held the local title now for over three weeks.”
Their price tag today beat nearby branches of supermarket chains including Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Asda – despite their recent cost cut.
Sam explained: “Our buying prices go up and down regularly but, when the price drops, a lot of places don’t reduce prices at the pump.
“We were getting people complaining about the price of fuel, and we’re also sick of it ourselves as we also pay through the nose to buy the fuel for our own cars – so we wanted to do something about it.”
Recently, the dynamic duo have started issuing a loyalty scheme to help customers save even more pennies.
The “no strings attached” discount cards strike a penny off every litre on the pump price, meaning on roughly 50 litres of fuel drivers save 50p.
Local residents have taken to social media in praise of the garage’s generosity and selflessness amid the difficult times.
One commented on Facebook: “Have just been to Costco and with the lifetime1p off a litre you are exactly the same price.
“That has to be a fantastic achievement keeping up with a massive company like Costco and the turn over they have! Well done Plas Acton! X”
Another added: “No, it should be us thanking you [thumbs up emojis] putting the big boys to absolute shame.”
Others wrote, “Superb from you boys” and “Brilliant garage xx”.

Petrol prices are currently going up because of the ongoing crisis in Eastern Europe.
The price of Brent crude oil hit a seven-year high of $99 due to concerns over the reliability of supplies almost as soon as Russian troops entered eastern Ukraine last month.
