WordPress Plugin Hole Puts ‘2 Million Websites’ At Risk
The flaw, tracked as CVE-2023-30777 and with a CVSS score of 6.1 out of 10 in severity, leaves sites vulnerable to reflected XSS attacks, which involve miscreants injecting malicious code into webpages. The code is then “reflected” back and executed within the browser of a visitor. Essentially, it allows someone to run JavaScript within another person’s view of a page, allowing the attacker to do things like steal information from the page, perform actions as the user, and so on. That’s a big problem if the visitor is a logged-in administrative user, as their account could be hijacked to take over the website.
“This vulnerability allows any unauthenticated user [to steal] sensitive information to, in this case, privilege escalation on the WordPress site by tricking the privileged user to visit the crafted URL path,” Patchstack wrote in its report. The outfit added that “this vulnerability could be triggered on a default installation or configuration of Advanced Custom Fields plugin. The XSS also could only be triggered from logged-in users that have access to the Advanced Custom Fields plugin.”

Vanessa Bauer puts ‘split’ with Joey Essex behind her on wild night out telling pals ‘I just want to have fun’
VANESSA Bauer looked sensational at a star-studded boxing premiere as she put her ‘split’ with Joey Essex behind her telling pals: ‘I just want to have fun.’
Joey is reportedly moving to Dubai after his romance with Dancing On Ice star Vanessa, 26, fizzled out.

All eyes were on Vanessa as she stepped out in a plunging ballgown which showed off her stunning figure.
The ITV star let her hair down at the Big George Foreman: The Miraculous Story of the Once and Future Heavyweight Champion of the World gala where she mixed with a room full of boxers on her girls’ night out.
Vanessa was joined by a glam list of stars at London’s plush The Ham Yard Hotel including Chris Eubank Jr, Harlem Eubank, the legendary Michael Watson MBE and Barry McGuigan MBE, as well as Love Island stars Jack Fowler, Toby Aromolaran, AJ Bunker, and Elle Spence.
Vanessa, who made it to the DOI finals with her ex ‘beau’ Joey who is now set to move to Dubai, said: “I’m just having a good time. I’m out with my girls to have fun.”
She certainly did, as she kicked up her heels for a night out with reality TV stars including TOWIE’S Saffron Lempriere, Kris Boyson and Abbie Quinnen.
Just last week Vanessa set tongues wagging after she stepped out to the Peter Pan and Wendy premiere with a mystery man.
Vanessa looked stunning in her fairytale mauve ballgown for the glam event at the Curzon Mayfair.
Her companion looked smart in a tweed three-piece suit, as the pair relaxed and enjoyed the star-studded evening together.
Her night out came as Joey is reportedly moving to Dubai.
The Towie star will embark on a new chapter abroad just weeks after landing second place on the ITV show with stunning Vanessa.
A source told MailOnline: “Joey absolutely loved his time performing with Vanessa on Dancing On Ice – he will treasure those memories forever.
“But for now, he’s focussing on work opportunities and beginning a new chapter in Dubai.
“He’s definitely single and while Vanessa means a lot to him because of the experience they shared on the show, they’re just friends now.”
Big George Forman is out only in cinemas now.

Fast X CinemaCon Trailer Puts The Whole Family In The Action
Universal is already having a great year with the way The Super Mario Bros. Movie has dominated the box office, and with Fast X on the horizon that year is probably about to get even better. With just a few weeks left to go before the film lands in theaters, Vin Diesel and other members of the Fast Family took to the CinemaCon stage to present an extended version of the final theatrical trailer that featured a number of sick new action sequences.
Vin Diesel didn’t initially come out, though. The presentation began with Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, and Sung Kang recapping the series a little bit before Vin came out to not just hype Fast X, but also its sequel.
“This summer is only the beginning of Fast X. And with all of your effort and with all of your love and the fact that you are a part of our family, Fast X will continue. And after this explosive summer, I will have the privilege to stand in front of you again for Part 2 in 2025.” It was reported last week that Louis Leterrier, who directed Fast X, will return for Fast X-2, but this was the first we’d heard of a 2025 release for the tenth Fast & Furious sequel.
Crash Team Rumble Puts A Modern Spin On The Mascot Platformer, And It Just Might Work
Crash Bandicoot was born as a colorful platforming mascot emblematic of his era, and he’s since been reinvented to suit other genres and moments in video game history. He and his wumpa fruit-chasing cohorts have been given the Mario Party treatment in Crash Bash, they went kart racing on several occasions, and he’s even been dropped into an auto-runner on mobile platforms. The latest appearance for the perma-grinning orange marsupial is yet again fitting of its moment, even as it might be the most unexpected fit to date.
Crash Team Rumble is a 4v4 multiplayer game with a unique ruleset and, it seems after a weekend with the beta, a lot of potential. Rather than reskin something familiar in Crash’s color palette, Crash Team Rumble finds its own competitive angle and match flow, and its depth of strategy gives it vigor, even as I worry about its life expectancy.
Players will load into matches cast as familiar characters split into one of several classes, like scorers, defenders, and more. Similar to something like Overwatch, the full game will offer multiple characters in each class, with heroes and villains spanning all of Crash’s history on the roster. In the beta, only a small subset of the game’s full list of heroes and villains–and their customizable abilities–was available, but it gave me an idea of what to expect.
