Respawn’s CEO is just like us, “would love” to see Titanfall 3
In a strong he’s just like me for real moment, Respawn CEO Vince Zampella said he “would love” to see Titanfall 3 happen.
I’m not a big shooter kind of player. They’re just not for me, unless they’re doing something interesting, like Titanfall 2, which yeah, everyone’s right: that’s a damn good video game right there. Personally I’m not looking for anymore Titanfall multiplayer either because I never played the online portion, but I would love a third game just for the story. Only problem is, Titanfall 2 didn’t do so well, and Apex Legends is doing incredibly well – so why the hell is Respawn’s CEO getting my hopes up?
Zampella recently spoke to Barron’s (via PCGamer), where he touched on a potential Titanfall 3, and didn’t say no outright. “I hate to say yes, then people latch onto that, and then skewer you when it doesn’t come,” said Zampella, “But I would love to see it happen is the real answer.” Of course, he did make sure to point out that Respawn isn’t “working on anything currently,” and there aren’t “exact dedicated plans for that.”

Titanfall and Apex devs form a new studio: Wildlight Entertainment
Former Apex Legends and Titanfall developers have left their jobs and joined a new studio: Wildlight Entertainment. The developer has been “quietly working on a new IP for some time”, according to the official website.
The ‘Meet the Team’ page features a sizable number of staff with impressive CVs, with the vast majority of them having worked on Apex Legends and / or the Titanfall games.
CEO Dusty Welch had worked on Apex Legends as CEO and GM, but has a legendary career behind him too, having founded and launched the Call of Duty franchise at Activision as well as being the publishing director for Guitar Hero. There’s also Chad Grenier, the new studio head of Wildlight after working on Apex, both Titanfall games, and the beloved original Call of Duty Modern Warfare games.

EA has canceled another game and it was a single-player Titanfall title – report
There was apparently a single-player Titanfall game in the works at Respawn Entertainment, but EA canceled it.
That’s according to a Bloomberg report which states as much.
The unannounced game reportedly had 50 people working on it for whom the company is trying to find new positions. It’s reported those who cannot be placed elsewhere in the company will be laid off, according to the outlet’s sources.
Unannounced single-player Titanfall game has been cancelled by EA
Fans have been clamouring for a sequel to Titanfall 2 since its release in 2016, but it looks like we might need to put those hopes on hold for a little longer. According to a report from Bloomberg, EA have cancelled an unannounced project codenamed Titanfall Legends, a single-player mash-up between Titanfall and Apex Legends – Respawn’s battle royale, set in the same universe. Around 50 devs were working on the game before its cancellation earlier this week. EA are reportedly trying to find other positions for the devs, but those that aren’t rehired are being laid off with severance.
