In the eyes of many, Tiffany Haddish effectively “won” after the child molestation lawsuit brought against her was dismissed in perpetuity. However, the comedienne has revealed that her career has been dealt a series of devastating losses as a result of being accused.
Full story below…
As reported, Haddish and fellow comic Aries Spears were accused of grooming and using a Jane Doe and her younger brother to make sexually inappropriate comedy sketches several years ago that the accuser claimed amounted to molestation.
Haddish fervently denied the claims, with her legal reps labeling them “bogus.” They potently pointed to the fact that the suit (which had been rejected by legal entities at the pre-filing stage several times in the past) ultimately was a shakedown attempt by the plaintiff and her family.
Yesterday (September 20), the Jane Doe asked the court to dismiss the suit with prejudice (meaning it can never be filed again) and praised Haddish in earnest.
The damage, however, appears to be done.
TMZ caught up with the 42-year-old at LAX and quizzed her about the aftermath of her victory. Ever candid, she made clear that her career has been hit hard. She explained:
“I lost everything. All my gigs…gone. Everything gone.”
When asked whether the dismissal of the case means things are likely to look up for her, Haddish replied:
“I don’t know, bro. I don’t have no job.”
Beyond her plentiful stand-up and acting jobs, Haddish (who has enjoyed a rare form of omnipresence since her mainstream breakthrough in 2017) has notable been active across a number of youth-focused mediums. Namely, as the current host of the revived ‘Kids Say the Darndest Things,’ as well as high-profile appearances in movies such as ‘The Lego Movie 2’ and ‘The Secret Life of Pets 2’
Interestingly, none of Haddish’s “gigs” have publicly severed ties with her…yet.
