As reported, the K-Pop ensemble returned with their new single ‘Pink Venom’ and their fans have responded with feverish excitement.
So much so that it’s seen the group break records on both Spotify and YouTube.
On Spotify, ‘Venom’ debuts at #1 on global Spotify with over 7.937 million streams – in the process delivering the biggest debut from a female act/group of 2022 so far. BLACKPINK also become the first female group in Spotify history to hit #1 on the global songs chart.
Over on YouTube, the high-octane visual for the track has become the fastest ever release to rack up 100 million views (which it accrued within 24 hours). As of writing, it’s soaring towards 120 million views.
Suffice to say, it sets the firmest of foundations for the quad’s incoming sophomore album ‘Born Pink’ (due September 15).
