As part of Sony’s State of Play event, Bungie revealed the launch trailer for Destiny 2’s upcoming expansion, Lightfall. In it, the studio teases the “beginning of the end,” as Destiny 2’s ongoing Light and Darkness Saga begins to reach its conclusion.
The Witness and its newest disciple are here.

So, what can we expect in the saga’s final expansions? Based on the trailer, more dialogue from The Witness, a confrontation involving a giant weapon being shot by The Traveler, and the potential death of The Tower’s favorite shipwright, Amanda Holliday. Fortunately, we won’t have to wait much longer to find out for sure.
Lightfall releases next Tuesday, February 28. It looks to be a major update for the game, introducing the new Strand subclass (which features a grappling hook for a new way of traversing the world of Destiny), a new campaign, a new location, and much more.
