Humans love to look for reason behind random events, and such a trait appears to be evident in our primate cousins according to a new study. Curiouser still are how researchers found their subjects acting much like human gamblers when they convince themselves they’re due for a win after a string of losses, along with other parallels. Just remember sentience isn’t intelligence, and from Marc Bekoff’s meditation it appears sentience is an absolute, raising some difficult questions for humanity about the critters subject to their mercy. Being sentient, they apprehend the same reality as humans except some sensory input is enhanced. Despite this enhancement, does this mean sentient beings apprehend the totality of reality?
