Controversial journalist Graham Hancock’s new series is now streaming, and Joel Keller’s review seems echoed by others in the business. Entertaining, yep, speculative, definitely; convincing…well, it depends upon your predispositions. Keller lists some positives and negatives about the series, with lavish praise for its cinematography. Similarly, 10 Million Megalithic Ruins Found In Jungle? should prove a worthwhile visit at least for its photography, though not par with Hancock’s production. The commentary is rather in the Hancock vein, but particularly the last of the sites visited may urge one towards further research. And historical carping can get too stuffy, not to mention ill-founded, as even Jason Colavito suggests. That’s the takeaway from Jason’s The New York Times Accuses Author of Fabricating History, Except He Didn’t. But does Jason himself err with Avi Loeb Should Stop Opining Beyond His Expertise? Is Jason’s strong critique of Loeb’s Old Newspapers in Extraterrestrial Restaurants perhaps a bit too much? (WM)
